CONTACT INFORMATION

Please disregard any contact information found in the software, which was accurate when the software was published but is not accurate today. See http://douglasdrenkow.com for my current contact information.

DISCLAIMER

Before you read or use this software and any accompanying materials, it is important to read this notice of disclaimer.

The materials and/or software included in this package are meant for informational purposes only. The publisher makes no warranties, either expressed or implied, as to this information's suitability for specific purposes or its correctness, accuracy, or reliability. The entire risk as regards the results and performance of the software/materials is assumed by you.

Neither the publisher nor anyone else who has been involved in the creation, production, or delivery of this information/software shall be liable for any direct, indirect, consequential, or incidental damages (including damage for loss of business profits, business interruption, loss of business information, and the like) arising out of the use of or inability to use such information/software even if the publisher has been advised of the possibility of such damages (Because some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation for consequential or incidental damages, the above limitation may not apply to you).

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

IBM PC or compatible computer with a minimum of DOS 2.11 and 256K RAM: virtually any computer running Windows (and even most of those older than that).

ACCESSING THE DATABASE

This software was originally created on floppy discs, whose contents were copied to a hard drive in order to access the database, via DOS.

If you are using Windows and have downloaded this software, in a zip folder, from my Web site, please follow these simple instructions to access the database:

* Extract all the files from the downloaded CBCZIP folder.
* Read this readme.txt file.
* Open the CBC folder.
* Double-click on the BUGS application, to access the database.

PROCESSING DATA

Data (other than within the program itself) is saved in unformatted ASCII text files, accessible with standard word-processing software; and with a standard printer and DOS system (Consult your documentation) you can generate a hardcopy of any on-screen information by pressing SHIFT-PRTSC.

TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS

If you receive an error message instructing you to "Insert" a floppy disc but you are using your hard drive, the subdirectories and/or files probably have not been saved properly: Make sure you have downloaded and extracted all the files and folders properly (See above).

To terminate the program, choose the "Return to DOS" option, when presented.

If your system is part of a network, contact its administrator.
