THE PRIORITIES OF PRESIDENT BUSH

An Unpublished Letter to Los Angeles Times

After stating that "no price is too heavy to pay" to repel "the aggression of Saddam Hussein against Kuwait", President Bush goes on to say about the recession that "the worst -- last -- thing we ought to do about it is have a lot of spending programs aimed to 'put America back to work'."

How do you decide if a sacrifice is a needless waste or a necessary investment? I guess it all depends on your priorities and values.
