CALLING MADAM PRESIDENT

An Unpublished Letter to Los Angeles Times

It seems the perfect time for women to seek the up-for-grabs Democratic and Republican presidential nominations -- ironically, for rather sexist reasons!

Unlike the recently "defrocked" Democratic front-runner, most women are not "womanizers", or the counterpart (If I may quote out of context, most women, unlike many men, know how to "just say, 'No.'").

Unlike the present Republican Administration, most women are not on "macho" power trips (How many women were principals in the "good ol' boy" network of the Iran-Contra arms scandal?).

Although men in general are put down and women in general are "put on a pedestal" by the above reasoning, it's not entirely without merit.

Madam President, where are you when we need you?!
